Taylor Williams joined the Cardinals staff in August 2024 as the Graduate Assistant for Lamar.
Williams spent the last four seasons playing softball for fellow Southland Conference foe Northwestern State. In 174 games, she recorded 131 hits, 24 doubles, six triples, three homers, 49 RBI, and stole 19 bases. She was a four-time SLC Comissioner's Honor Roll and was named to the SLC Third Team all-conference in 2022. She majored in kinesiology while at NSU.
In high school, Williams was a two-sport athlete at Tom Bean High School. A three-time all-district selection, she was awarded the HS Offensive Player of the Year three times and helped the Tomcats to the regional finals as a freshman while also claiming an area championship and a bi-district championship as a junior and sophomore, respectively. In addition, she eanred Academic All-District honors and held the position as National Honor Society Class President.
