Quintin Mapstone started his position as graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach in January 2024. At Lamar University he is responsible for all aspects of training for track & field throwers and women’s tennis, while assisting with football and baseball. He is working on completing his Master of Science in Sports Nutrition.

Prior to Lamar, Mapstone was a Sports Performance volunteer coach for UCLA football during the 2023 season. He was tasked with assisting in all aspects of sports science and return to play protocols. Mapstone began his journey in the strength and conditioning profession during the summer of 2022 at Robert Morris University, located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, where he worked directly with the Colonial football program. Mapstone also spent his time volunteering as a Sports performance coach at his alma mater Waynesburg University, as well as California University of Pennsylvania during the spring of 2023.

Mapstone is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Mapstone is a native of Brownsville, Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Waynesburg University in 2023. At Waynesburg University, Mapstone was a 4-year member of the Yellow Jackets football program.
