Kendall Murray was named manager of athletic operations at Lamar University in February 2024. Murray makes his way to the Golden Triangle from Northwestern State.
Already familiar with athletic operations within the Southland Conference, Murray spent three years at NSU serving in numerous roles. Originally hired as a supervisor at the NSU Wellness Center in May 2020, Murray was in charge of training new employees, supervising the staff and preparing closing reports for sales and membership.
Murray remained in that role while taking on an internship with the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. During his internship, Murray assisted with sales, helped develop plans to increase attendance for the event, as well making sure events ran smoothly.
In May 2022, Murray joined the Demons’ ticket office serving as an associate where he was the main ticket contact for all home sporting events.
A 2022 graduate of Northwestern State, Murray returned to his alma mater to pursue a master’s degree. Murray graduated with his Master of Science in Sport Administration in December 2023.
