Isaiah “Ike” Dillon joined the Lamar University coaching staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2024-25 season. Dillon came to Lamar after spending the three previous seasons at Minnesota where he served as a student manager with the Golden Gophers. During his time with Minnesota, he worked with NBA draftee Cam Christie (Los Angeles Clippers) and NBA free agent signees Jamison Battle (Toronto Raptors) and Dawson Garcia (Detroit Pistons). Dillon was also a part of a 2023-24 Golden Gopher squad that advanced to the second round of the postseason NIT.

During his first season with Lamar, Dillon was involved with opponent scouting, film, player development and on-campus recruiting. His first year on campus saw Lamar record its first 20-win season since 2018-19 and earn the No. 2 overall seed in the Southland Conference Championship Tournament where they advanced all the way to the finals for the first time since 2012. Lamar also set a school record in 2024-25 with 14 conference victories.
