Ethan Quinn

Ethan Quinn joined the Lamar University men’s basketball staff in August of 2022 as the video coordinator. He was promoted to full-time assistant coach prior to the start of the 2024-25 season. During Quinn's two seasons in Beaumont, the Cardinals have rattled off 39 wins - including a 20-win season in 2024-25, and advanced to the 2025 SLC Championship game.

The 2024-25 season saw numerous highlights as Big Red set a single-season record for Southland wins (14), record its first 20-win season since 2018-19 and post its highest regular-season finish (2nd) since 2008.

Prior to his arrival in Beaumont, he served as the graduate assistant at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan where he was tasked with opponent scouts, managing gameday operations, creating player highlights, player development, and breaking down both game and practice film. Quinn also served as the head coach of the reserve team at Madonna and handled duties from travel, scheduling, practice plans, recruiting and other head coaching responsibilities. During his time at Madonna he began working on his Masters of Business Administration.

Before his graduate assistantship, Quinn graduated from Minnesota where he studied sport management and business law. He served as a student manager for the Golden Gopher Basketball team during the 2019-2020 season. He helped facilitate and manage team equipment as well as assist the staff with daily and weekly operations.

During his time in Minnesota, Quinn also worked for the Minnesota Timberwolves as a team attendant for two seasons. Ethan assisted with all equipment needs for players, coaches, and staff as needed. While working with the Timberwolves, Ethan was on the travel roster and helped with gameday operations on many fronts to help trips move in an efficient manner. Quinn also helped with the Timberwolves summer league team in 2021 in Las Vegas.

A native of Corunna, Michigan, Ethan is the son of Maggie Quinn and has an older sister, Kelsey and an older brother, Reilly.
