Carter Allen joined the Lamar University baseball staff in 2026 as the new director of player personnel.
Allen was one of the top players in the NAIA in 2026, earning NAIA All-America honors at Kansas Wesleyan after batting .419, which ranked 17th nationally.
He finished third in the NAIA with 104 hits, one of only five players in the country to surpass the 100-hit mark.
Allen also ranked ninth nationally with 79 RBIs, posted a .758 slugging percentage that ranked 23rd and hit 22 home runs, the eighth-highest total in the NAIA.
Allen was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and earned first-team All-KCAC honors at catcher while also seeing time as a designated hitter.
In conference play, Allen batted .431, ranking third in the KCAC. He led the conference in hits (66), home runs (19) and slugging percentage (.882) while finishing second in RBIs (57).
As a junior, Allen earned third-team All-KCAC honors after recording 54 hits in conference play, the seventh-highest total in the league. He also drove in 49 runs during the season, ranking seventh in the KCAC.
Allen posted a .732 slugging percentage, good for 15th in the conference, and ranked eighth with 23 extra-base hits. His 13 home runs tied for fourth in the KCAC.
A native of Pearland, Texas, Allen attended Eastern Illinois before transferring to Kansas Wesleyan.
He began his collegiate career at Alvin Community College in 2023, appearing in 41 games and batting .292 with a .384 on-base percentage and a .496 slugging percentage. Allen added 10 doubles, six home runs and 26 RBIs.
