Austin Lloyd was hired in September 2025 to oversee the marketing and promotions effort for several Cardinal programs including women's basketball, volleyball and softball. 

Prior to his arrival in the Golden Triangle, Lloyd spent three years in Johnson City, Tenn., serving as an assistant within the East Tennessee State athletics department working directly with the women's volleyball and soccer programs. During his three years with ETSU, Lloyd assisted with the production of all home events with on-court promotions, fan engagement as well as the on-court/on-field emcee. 

In addition to his time with ETSU, Lloyd also served as the on-field promotions coordinator for the Johnson City Doughboys minor league baseball team. 

Lloyd has also has experience with in marketing and promotions at the conference level following a brief sting with the Southern Conference.
