McKenzie Brewer

McKenzie Brewer joined the Lamar University volleyball staff in August 2021. Brewer comes to the Golden Triangle from Northwestern State where she spent the previous season as a graduate assistant coach.
 
Familiar with the state of Texas, Brewer played her collegiate volleyball at Stephen F. Austin. A four-year letterwinner for the Ladyjacks, she set the program’s second-best mark for assists per set (7.86) during her rookie season. She was a key factor in helping SFA to two Southland Conference regular-season titles and advance to their fifth NCAA Championship appearance in school history.
 
An All-SLC tournament selection, Brewer received her bachelor’s degree from SFA in 2019. After her playing days, the Carroll High School product was hired as an assistant coach at Tomball Memorial High School. In addition to her time working with the Wildcat volleyball program, Brewer also served as head coach for the 16s Regional team and assisted the 15s National squad and the TAV Club team.
