Clayton Bristow is in his first season with the Lamar Volleyball program as a graduate assistant, coming after a very successful stint as a student assistant at the University of Texas-Dallas from 2013-14.

The San Antonio native worked with a Comet team that went 17-1 for an American Southwest Conference championship in 2013 and advance to the second round of the Division III NCAA Championships. The team collected a 31-9 overall record and had an 18-game win streak at one point in the season.

Bristow was a club coach for the Victory Volleyball Club from 2013-2015 and worked with the 13 Elite Green and 14 Elite Black, which was a national qualifier. He was the head coach for the 16 White team.

Most recently, Bristow was a varsity assistant coach for Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco on the TAPPS 4A level.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminology in May 2014. He became an alumnus L.B. Johnson High School in 2010.Â
