A former standout on the court, Bianca Vitale transitioned to the sidelines to apply her expertise as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals in August 2021. A three-year letterwinner for the Red and White, she played either No. 1 or 2 singles during her career and No. 2 doubles.Â
A key factor in helping the Cardinals advance to the Southland Conference Championship match as a senior, Vitale won back-to-back three-set matches to put LU in a position of playing for the conference tournament title. She finished second on the team with 10 singles wins (all from the No. 1 spot) in her final season on the court. Vitale was off to one of the best singles starts in program history (9-3) in 2020 when the season came to an unexpected halt due to the COVID pandemic.Â
Over the course of her career, Vitale won 50 matches with 34 of those coming on the singles courts. ??????
