Taylor Stockton, the only women’s golfer in Southland Conference history to be a part of four championship teams as a player, returns to Lamar University to serve as an assistant coach for the 2016-17 season.
A three-time All-Southland Conference selection (first team 2014, 2016; second team 2015), Stockton was the 2016 Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year for women’s golf.
On the course, Stockton was at her best during the Southland Conference Championships, finishing no worse than 11th, with three top-10 finishes. As a senior, Stockton finished third at the SLC event.
Stockton, who graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lamar University, is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting from LU.
