Lamar University Athletics

Taylor Howick joined the Lamar University sports medicine staff in August 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer. Her primary responsibility is managing the health care of the LU women’s basketball team. Prior to LU, Howick was an assistant athletic trainer at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Calif.
 
Howick earned her undergraduate degree at Washington State University in 2015, where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training along with a minor in Psychology. Post-graduation, Howick spent one year working at a 4A high school in Snoqualmie, Wash. In the spring of 2018, Howick completed her Master’s in Science from Portland State University, while working as a Graduate Assistant with both the Vikings football and women’s basketball teams.
 
Howick is a native from Lake Tapps, Wash. She is a nationally certified athletic trainer and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas and a member of the National Athletic Training Association.
