Kenneth Cline joined Lamar University as the Assistant Director of Media Relations in October of 2021.
A native of Houston, Cline spent the last five years at NCAA DIII East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas as the Assistant Sports Information Director (Social Media/Broadcasting). He had a broad range of responsibilities for multiple sports, including video creation and editing, social media content, writing game summaries, and assisting with many media interactions such as press conferences and coach and student-athlete interviews. In addition, he was also the webcast broadcaster for many ETBU sports, serving at various times as the sole broadcaster or play-by-play and/or color commentator, for all home sports events and several away events.
While pursuing his undergraduate degree at Baylor, Cline worked for the Associate Athletic Director for Communications, focusing on media communications for baseball, football and basketball. During this period, he helped out the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Regional and Super Regional held in Waco. He also wrote freelance articles for the Baylor Lariat.
Cline graduated from Baylor in 2014 with an bachelor's degree in Journalism-News Editorial. He also earned his master's at ETBU in Education-Kinesiology.
