Sadie Edwards was announced as an assistant coach for the LU Women's Basketball on May 12, 2021 by head coach Aqua Franklin, and comes to Beaumont after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Indiana, Bloomington.Â
"Sadie is a great addition to our coaching staff and will complement us well," said head coachÂ
Aqua Franklin. "She will have immediate credibility with our players from her playing experience and most recent appearance in the NCAA Elite Eight as part of the Indiana staff. Sadie's enthusiasm for the game couldn't be more evident and she has a passion for empowering and developing young women."Â

In her two seasons in Bloomington, Edwards has helped the Hoosiers go a combined 46-12 while making an appearance in the 2021 NCAA Elite Eight. She assisted in various duties while at Indiana, ranging from producing scouts to organizing the male practice players.

Edwards has excelled in her basketball career as she was a three-year letter winner at the University of Southern California (2015-18). During her time in Los Angeles, she played in 82 games and earned 72 starts while averaging 11.1 points, 1.9 assists and shot 42.5 percent from the floor. During her senior campaign, she played and started in all 30 contests while averaging 12.9 points a game.
