Nohely Chavez joined the Lamar University sports medicine staff in July 2021 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Her primary coverage will be with the Cardinal track and field and cross country programs.
Chavez is currently pursuing a Master’s in Nutrition through Lamar University. She is a nationally certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas.
Chavez graduated from Texas State in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. As an undergraduate student she worked primarily with football and track and field. She also spent time working with Houston Methodist Hospital during her internship. She resides from Houston, Texas.
