Lamar University Athletics

Kiera Mattern joined the Lamar University sports medicine staff in 2019 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Her primary coverage is with the Cardinal softball team.
 
Mattern is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Kinesiology at Lamar University. She is a nationally certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas.
 
Mattern is a native of Aurora, Colo. She graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. As an undergraduate student, her primary experience was with the CMU football and men’s lacrosse teams.
