Savana Guidry joined the Lamar softball staff in August of 2019 after a stellar career for Lamar, while during her senior campaign she appeared in 34 contests, while making 31 starts.
“Savana will help with the infield. She can help our younger players understand what the Southland Conference is about,” head coach Amy Hooks remarked. “It’s also special to have Alumni that want to continue impacting the program.”
During her time at Lamar, Guidry finished her senior season hitting .298, with a .333 hitting percentage against Southland pitchers. She finished the season going a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen base attempts. She collected 31 hits and drove in seven runs, and she achieved the only four-hit game in LU program history.
Guidry will graduate from Lamar University in May 2020 with her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
