A four-year letterwinner for the Cardinals, Lukas Grubelnig returns to Beaumont but is entering his first season on the sidelines serving as a volunteer coach for the Red and White.
Over the course of his career, Grubelnig was an integral part of a Cardinals' squad that won two Southland Conference regular season titles and three Southland tournament championships. During that stretch, Big Red represented the Southland Conference in the NCAA Championships in three consecutive seasons. Grubelnig was a member of the Cardinals during their greatest three-year stretch in program history. He will now look to transition that experience gained as a player into helping the current roster from the sidelines.
