Lamar University Athletics

Kelsey Ellis-Lepard joined the Lamar University Sports Medicine Staff in September of 2023. Her primary responsibility is to manage the health care of the Cardinals men's basketball team. Prior to arriving at LU, Ellis-Lepard served as a staff athletic trainer at Youngstown State University for the men's basketball and women's bowling programs. Before Youngstown State, Ellis-Lepard served as the head football athletic trainer with both Alabama State University and the Houston Gamblers of the United States Football League. 

Ellis-Lepard is a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she earned her bachelor's degree with honors in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science concentration. She went on to earn her Master of Athletic Training from Texas Tech University - Health Sciences Center. 

Ellis-Lepard is a nationally certified athletic trainer and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas and a member of the National Athletic Training Association.
