Cameron Hieb joined the Lamar University Sports Medicine Staff in 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer. Hieb works primarily with the LU men's basketball program.
Hieb graduated from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training program in 2015 at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then obtained his Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Higher Administration from Nicholls State, while working as a graduate assistant in the athletic training room. He assisted in football coverage and primarily covered the cross country teams and women’s track and field team.
Hieb is a native of Colleyville, Texas. He comes to LU from Corsicana, Texas where he served as the head athletic trainer at Navarro Junior College from 2017-2019. He is a nationally certified athletic trainer and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas and a member of the National Athletic Training Association.Â
