UPDATED Ben Rivers

Ben Rivers

  • Title
    Video Coordinator
Ben Rivers was named Lamar University video coordinator in May 2026, joining head coach Jordan Fee’s staff after spending the previous season with the North Texas Mean Green.

During his time in Denton, he served as a recruiting analyst where he provided in-depth film breakdown focused on scouting player evaluation. That coaching staff recorded the most regular-season wins in 50 years by a first-year UNT staff. North Texas also produced the most wins (18) by a first-year staff in 32 years. Rivers also played a key role in helping the Mean Green secure the acquisition of Spain’s Ousmane Ndour - a highly touted prospect.

Rivers made the move to Denton following two seasons at Cleveland State where he served as a graduated assistant coach. During his brief time in Ohio, Rivers assisted the Vikings to two 20-win seasons which included back-to-back conference tournament semifinal appearances and two College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament appearances.

A 2021 graduated of St. John Fisher University, Rivers returned to school and completed a master’s in business administration from Cleveland State (May 2025).
