Joseph Ballard joined the Lamar University sports medicine staff in 2020 as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. He will work primarily with the Cardinal football and women’s golf teams.

Ballard is currently pursuing a Master’s in Nutrition through Lamar University. He is a nationally certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas.

Ballard graduated from George Fox University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. During his time as an undergraduate, Ballard split his time between football, softball and basketball. He also spent time working student-athletes at a local high school.
