Mallory Cameron joined the Lamar University Sports Medicine Department in November 2025. She currently serves as the athletic trainer with the Lamar baseball team. Cameron comes to Lamar after serving the past 10 months as an assistant athletic trainer with the Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers, Florida. Cameron is a graduate of Charleston Southern where she earned her degree in kinesiology in 2020. She received her master’s degree in athletic training from Charleston Southern in 2022.
Mallory holds a certification in dry needling and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Her professional interests include studying pitching biomechanics for the prevention of shoulder/elbow injuries and using evidenced based rehabilitation focusing on scapular mechanics. A native of Monroe, Michigan, Mallory currently resides in Beaumont with her dog, Bane.Â
