2017 Season:
• Ranked third on the team and 26th in the Southland with a 4.13 ERA through 61.0 innings
• Appeared in 15 games with 12 starts, earning a 4-4 record
• Struck out 50 batters, fourth-most by a Cardinal
• Allowed 60 hits, tied for the fifth-fewest among Southland Conference qualifying pitchers
• Allowed 28 earned runs, 11th-best among qualifying pitchers in the league
• Opened his Cardinal career with seven scoreless innings against Illinois on Feb. 19, a 2-1 Lamar University win. He allowed just two hits while striking out eight and walking three
• Picked up his first win as a member of Big Red in Lamar University’s 5-1 win over Fairfield on Feb. 25, striking out three while allowing one hit and no runs in four innings of work
• Earned his second win in LU’s 9-1 victory at New Orleans on Apr. 9, where he fanned five batters through seven scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and two walks
• Pitched six innings in his third win of the year, a 6-4 LU win over A&M-Corpus Christi on Apr. 15. He allowed just one earned run with five hits, three walks, and one strikeout
• Earned his final win of 2017 in 5.1 innings of one-run ball at McNeese on May 19. The Cardinals won 4-1 as he struck out five while allowing six hits and one walk

Prior to Lamar:
• Was a teammate with Cardinals Reid Russell and Jimmy Johnson at Tyler JC.
• Aided Tyler to national championships in both 2015 and 2016.
• Two-year letterman at Tyler.
• Finished with a 2-2 record and five saves.
• Recorded 24 strikeouts and a 3.75 earned run average.
 
High School:
• Three-year letterman in baseball.
• Second-team all-district.
 
Personal:
• Born Jace Elliott Campbell on July 22, 1996.
• Son of Kathy and John Campbell.
• One brother, Jacob – who played at Houston from 2013-16.
• Majoring in criminal justice.
• Wants a career as a game warden.
