Biography

2016 Season:
• Appeared in 26 matches with 20 starts, played in 98 total sets.
• Ranked ninth in the Southland Conference in assists per set (8.67) and was 10th in SLC only matches (7.57), despite running the 6-2.
• Led the team in total assists (744) and assists per set (7.59), tied for the lead in service aces (14).
• Third on the team in total digs (216) and digs per set (2.20).
• Held the top five assist matches, the best was 57 assists in five sets, at Incarnate Word and at McNeese.
• Both matches were double-doubles with 20 digs – season best - at UIW and 14 at McNeese.
• Recorded 52 assists in five sets against Northwestern State, and 49 in five sets at Houston Baptist – both double-doubles.
• Highest four-set output was 46 assists, at New Orleans.
• Also notched four 30-assist matches in three sets, highest was 35 at Nicholls.
• Recorded 33 against UTSA, 32 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and 31 at Oklahoma.
• Notched nine double-doubles.
• Also notched 16 digs at home against UIW, and added 27 assists in the match.
• Put down six kills against Central Arkansas with 39 assists and 13 digs.
 
2015 Season:
• Split time with Ashley Ellis in a 6-2 alignment for most of the season.
• Topped the Cardinals with a 6.83 assists per game average, ranked ninth in the Southland Conference.
• Owns the four best assist games of the season for Lamar, top mark is 49 against Sam Houston State in a five-st match.
• Recorded three matches with 40 or more assists, all in league play.
• Notched 47 at home against Houston Baptist and 44 against Incarnate Word.
• Ran off seven double-doubles, including three-straight matches.
• In the first match, against ULM, had 24 assists and 16 digs; at Louisiana Tech had 21 and 16; Texas Rio Grande Valley had 26 and 13.
• Not including the 40-assist contests, had six matches of 30 or more.
• Recorded 37 assists in the season finale against Texas A&M- Corpus Christi (also had two kills in the match) and 31 at Stephen F. Austin (one of her seven double-double).
• Added another two kills of her nine on the year, at home against Sam Houston State.

Prior to LU:
• Had a successful debut season with the Blue Raiders, while playing in 104 sets
• Led the team in assists (505) and was second in assists per set (4.86)
• Fourth on the team with 138 digs
• Second on the squad with five double-doubles
• Tallied a career-high 33 assists in a win over La Tech (10/5)
• Notched a career-high 15 digs in a win over Belmont (9/13) on her way to 31 assists for a double-double
• Reached the 20-assist plateau in 13 of the 24 contests she amassed double-digit assists
• Best stretch came during a five-game streak where she had at least 20 assists.
• Member of the Dean’s List.
 
High School:
• Morton was a three-time all-district player, along with one honorable mention all-state selection in addition to being a member of the track team.
• MVP of her high school team her junior season and took Iron Man Award  her senior season.
• Coached by John Turner.
• She played in junior nationals in 2011-12 with her club team, AVA.
• Graduated with a 3.6 grade point average.

• Daughter of Mike and Elizabeth.
• Born on March 25, 1996. 
• Has three siblings, Kelli, Michael and Katarina.
• Twin sister Katarina plays volleyball at Kennesaw State.
• Hobbies include fishing, hunting, wakeboarding, and volleyball.
• Majoring in special education.
• Wants to teach special needs children and coach.
