Lane Trudo is in his first season as an assistant strength and conditioning coordinator at Lamar University. Trudo comes to Beaumont from Oskaloosa, Iowa where he was a graduate assistant coach at William Penn.

During his time at William Penn, Trudo designed and implemented all aspects of training for the William Penn baseball, men’s basketball and men’s soccer teams. The training regimens included strength and power development, linear and lateral speed, conditioning and recovery.

While serving as graduate assistant at William Penn, Trudo also worked as the strength and conditioning coordinator at Oskaloosa High School. During that time he worked directly with football, baseball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, volleyball, girls’ swimming, girls’ soccer and boys’ and girls’ track and field.

Trudo spent nearly two years working with Kansas State’s strength and conditioning department. He began his time in Manhattan working with several Olympic sports but eventually was moved over to the Wildcat football team despite his volunteer status. During his time with the Wildcats, Trudo helped produce three eventual NFL draft selections. Trudo began his strength and conditioning career as an intern at Missouri in June 2015.

A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, Trudo played baseball at Cowley County Community College before transferring to Kansas State. He received his degree from KSU in 2011.
