Jake Nash, a Cardinal baseball alum and former graduate manager, received a promotion to the Director of Baseball Operations position on August 20, 2018.
Nash, from Palestine, Texas, played junior college ball at Vernon College before transferring to Lamar in 2015 for his junior season. Nash hit .314 for his two-year career in 102 games. He had 22 doubles, three triples, and four homers, driving in 60 RBIs and drawing 29 career walks. He also stole 13 bases and was named to the 2016 Preseason All-SLCÂ Second Team and a 2015 All-SLCÂ Honorable Mention. Nash was a graduate manager in the 2018 season.
