2006: Medical redshirt after having surgery on his right elbow ... Played in three games, earning two starts ... Hit .250 with one hit in four at-bats.

Junior College: Played for Jeff Lightfoot at Weatherford JC ... As a sophomore, hit .370 with five home runs, 14 doubles, two triples and 40 RBI ... In summer 2005, played in the Walter Johnson League in Kansas where he hit .360 with seven home runs ... Named first-team all-league and all-Midwest ... In summer 2004, played in the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) for the Hornell Dodgers and made the all-star team.

High School: Played for Jack Taylor at Boulder HS ... As a senior, hit .403 with eight home runs and 32 RBI ... Named first-team All-Centennial League as an outfielder ... Led all of Class 5A in home runs ... Named honorable mention all-state ... In summer American Legion baseball, hit 14 home runs with 46 RBI and posted a .757 on-base percentage and a .858 slugging percentage.
