2016 Season
• First-team All-Southland Conference catcher, named to the preliminary Johnny Bench Award Watchlist.
• First, first-team all-conference catcher since Michael Ambort in 2007.
• Ranked third on the team in batting, but highest among league catchers.
• Was an electric part of the lineup to start the season and carried a .400 batting average in to league play.
• Played in 51 of 54 games, all behind the plate.
• Sparked in an eight-run comeback over No. 5 LSU, was 1-of-2 with a long ball, two RBI and a run scored.
• Popped his second homer in the next game, against North Dakota State, 3-of-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
• Third long ball was in a 3-of-4 game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
• Pushed across three RBI, on two doubles, against Stephen F. Austin – was 3-for-5with a run scored.
• Was 4-of-5 with a run scored in the second game of the North Dakota State series.
• Had 18 multiple-hit games and eight multi-RBI contests.
• Had a three-game multiple-hit stretch in which he was 6-of-14 with a run and five RBI.
 
Prior to Lamar:
• Helped Midland to the 2014 Junior College World Series, where he kept the Chararrals from dropping the opening round game with a first-pitch shot that sparked a four-run inning.
• Team took third place.
• Hit .330 with three home runs, 35 RBI and 46 games scored in 62 games.
• Ranked sixth in batting and was top 20 in his conference.
 
High School:
• District MVP his senior season, and took first-team honors his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
• Along with his MVP award, was picked first-team all-plains,1st all-city and honorable mention all-state.
• Never batted below .346 during his career, including a staggering .456 average his sophomore season, netted him first-team all-city, -south plains,  and third team all-state.
• Hit .375 his freshman year, .346 junior season and .396 in his final campaign.
• A three-time district champion, made it to the regional finals twice and regional quarterfinals once.
• Lettered four years in baseball, three years in football.
• Member of the National Honor Society.
• Coached in baseball by Chad Reynolds and in football by Brad Davis.
 
Personal:
• Was a participant in the Little League World Series in 2007 as a part of the Southwest Team (Lubbock Western Little League).
• Son of Holly and Gerald Arredondo.
• One sister, K’Leigh.
• Sister plays softball at Odessa College
• Majoring in exercise science.
• Wants to pursue a career in pharmacy.
• Born Nov. 8, 1994.
• Vice President of the SAAC committee at Lamar University.
