BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University heads to Commerce for its next Southland Conference matchup, squaring off against East Texas A&M Thursday evening. The contest kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Cardinals (4-2-4, 1-1-1 SLC) maintained their unbeaten home record Sunday at the LU Soccer Complex, rallying from a two-goal deficit to tie Nicholls, 2-2.
Sofia Wilby scored LU's first goal off an assist from
Kamryn Harvey, who later netted the equalizer.
SCORING TWO IN A MINUTE AGAIN?
Wilby and Harvey both scored in the 65th minute of Sunday's contest, marking the second time this season the Cardinals have scored two goals in the same minute. The first came against Texas A&M-San Antonio when Harvey and
Diem Sealy found the back of the net in the 21st minute.
HAVEN'T WE SEEN THIS COMEBACK BEFORE?
Sunday marked just the third time in program history that LU erased a two-goal deficit. It was the first occurrence since 2019, when the Cardinals rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Central Arkansas, 3-2, in overtime. Big Red also overcame a two-goal deficit to tie Evansville, 2-2, in 2011.

Big Red is 4-0-2 all-time against the Lions, including a 2-2 draw in last season's meeting in Beaumont.
Marissa Gross and
Anneliese Switzer scored the Cardinals' goals, while
Kamdyn Jalayer recorded two assists.
Eloise Bywater made five saves in goal.
ABOUT THE LIONS
ETAMU (2-5-3, 1-1-0 SLC) snapped a nine-match winless streak with a 3-0 shutout victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Allyson Reed scored twice to lead the Lions, while Kristen Sueltz added the third goal. Emmy Finlinson, who made four saves in the match, currently ranks second in the conference with a .766 save percentage.
