BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University carries a seven-match unbeaten streak into Natchitoches, La., Thursday, as the Cardinals take on the reigning Southland Conference regular-season champion Northwestern State Demons. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the match will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Cardinals wrapped up their most recent undefeated homestand with a 1-0 shutout win over UT Rio Grande Valley in their conference opener.
Kamryn Harvey scored the game's only goal with 10.2 seconds remaining, while goalkeeper
Keely Thomas recorded her second shutout of the season with a five-save performance.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Harvey's goal was the sixth last-minute game-winning goal in program history. Scored at 89:50, it stands as the latest game-winning goal in regulation in school history. The previous record was set at 89:42 by Mari Olastuen against Nicholls in 2015.
A CLEAN SWEEP

Riley Wilson swept the Southland Conference Player of the Week honors for their efforts in the victory over UTRGV. It marked the first time since 2023 that the Cardinals claimed all three weekly awards. That season,

Cariel Ellis (Offensive) and
Nicole Panis (Goalkeeper) earned the honors following Lamar's 1-0 upset of then-No. 17 Xavier. Overall, Big Red has swept the conference's weekly awards four times (2017, 2018, 2023 and 2026).
UNBEATEN x SEVEN
LU's current seven-match unbeaten streak is the program's longest since 2023, when the Cardinals strung together a 16-match unbeaten run. That streak ran from Sept. 3 through Nov. 5 and helped propel Big Red to its second consecutive Southland Conference regular-season and tournament championship.

The Cardinals hold a 12-6-3 record all-time against NSU. Last season, Big Red blanked the Demons, 2-0, in Beaumont. KamdynJalayer assisted on both goals, while goalkeeper

ABOUT THE DEMONS
After opening the season 0-5, Northwestern State enters conference play on a three-match winning streak following a 4-2 victory over Grambling. Tiana Cruz, Alexia Adimmah, Gabriela Page and Riley Stern all scored in the win. Paige Baumgartner, who recently delivered a school-record performance with five goals and 12 points against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, leads the Southland Conference in both goals (eight) and points (19).
