MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. — After the second round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic on Tuesday at Raven Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, Lamar University slipped to 10th place in the 14-team field after entering the day tied for fourth.

Nathan Woodham paced the Cardinals in the second round, carding an even-par 70 with four birdies and 10 pars. He played the back nine at one-under par.

Matthew Bramford and Rory Bennett each made the turn at even par. The pair combined for three birdies and 12 pars during their rounds.

The Cardinals recorded 14 birdies and 56 pars during the second round. Bennett matched Woodham for the team lead with four birdies.

Bramford closed his round with seven consecutive pars on the back nine and finished the day with 15 pars.

Storm Du Toit added birdies on holes No. 2 and 11 while Freddie Surgey recorded a birdie on the 11th hole.

Competing as an individual, Filip Widepalm carded birdies on holes No. 3 and 11.

Mercer (273-276—549) carries a five-stroke lead into the final round and sits atop the team standings. Central Arkansas and UL Lafayette are tied for second.

On the individual leaderboard, UT Arlington's Jen Chie Huang holds a one-stroke advantage after carding a two-round total of 131 (64-67).

West Florida's Ethan Weinberg and Hector Arriaga are tied for second place.
