BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University athletics department will once again be partnering with Veteran Tickets (Vet Tix), the largest veteran-focused nonprofit in the United States. Fans can donate their unused tickets for LU home events electronically to Vet Tix.
 
To donate tickets, fans must 1) log in to their ticket account and access your Lamar tickets you will be unable to use, 2) choose the game  and ticket(s) you would like to donate, 3) Select the option to transfer selected tickets, 4) Enter the designated Vet Tix e-mail address: donate@vettix.org and 5) Review the information and submit your transfer.
 
Vet Tix secures tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, education and family activities across the nation to all branches of the military. Tickets are provided to veterans, currently serving military and families of troops killed in action.
 
Through this partnership, LU Athletics supports Vet Tix's mission of providing tickets to events that reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, create lasting memories and encourage veterans and service members to stay engaged with their communities and American life. Vet Tix honors service by providing positive family and life experiences – during and after military service – by offering free tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, educational and family activities across the country.
 
The program began in 2008, handing out nearly three thousand tickets and has continued to grow reaching a highwater mark of eight million tickets in 2025. During that time, Vet Tix has distributed more than 30 million event tickets.
