BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University has 128 student-athletes from 12 sports named to the Southland Conference Spring 2026 Commissioner's List, announced league officials Wednesday afternoon. 
 
To be considered for the Commissioner's List, student-athletes must have (1) maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average throughout the semester and (2) be eligible to compete in a conference sport during the 2026 spring semester. Out of the 128 student-athletes, 56 recorded a 3.5 GPA while 18 achieved a perfect 4.0. 
 
Baseball led the way with 26 student-athletes. While track and field combined for 45 names for both indoor and outdoor seasons, the women's squad (23) had one more than the men. Softball produced 14 student-athletes while men's tennis had nine. Both men's golf and women's basketball finished with eight, while women's golf tied with seven along with women's tennis. Four student-athletes came from men's basketball.
