Kamryn Wilson Earns All-Southland Conference Second Team Honors

| By:
FRISCO, Texas – Lamar University sophomore Kamryn Wilson has been named to the 2026 All-Southland Conference teams announced league officials Friday afternoon. Wilson received a second-team nod from the voters. This marks the first time Wilson has been honored by the conference for her accomplishments on the court.

The Grand Prairie native led the Cardinals in scoring (11.4 points per game) in 29 games while starting in 28. Among her highlights was a career-high of 29 points (12-of-20) against Stephen F. Austin (Jan. 24th). One of the league's top long-range threats, she knocked down 37 three-pointers.

A threat on both ends of the floor, Wilson also averaged 3.7 rebounds per game, recorded 41 steals and blocked four shots.

Wilson and the Cardinals finished the regular season 20-9 (.690) record, including a 12-5 SLC mark, to earn the league's No. 2 overall seed in the upcoming conference tournament.  LU will be starting its tournament run in the semifinals, which will begin Wednesday, March 11, at the Townsley Law Arena in Lake Charles, La. The ball will be tipped at 1 p.m. and streamed on ESPN+, but the Cardinals will have to wait to find out who their next opponent will be.
