COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Using a 12‑run fourth inning, the No. 23 Texas A&M Aggies defeated the Lamar University baseball team, 25-5, in seven innings Tuesday night at Blue Bell Park.
With two outs in the first inning, the Aggies brought in two runs on a pair of wild pitches. Boston Kellner followed with a two‑run home run to extend the lead to 4-0.
Texas A&M added five more runs in the second, highlighted by a solo home run from Caden Sorrell and a two‑RBI double by Jake Duer.
Aggie starter Gavin Lyons did not allow a hit through the first three innings and retired nine of the last 10 batters he faced.
Jake Wagoner was LU's lone baserunner during that stretch, reaching on a walk in the third.
Brayden Evans broke up the no‑hitter with a leadoff solo home run to right field in the fourth, and
Tab Tracy reached on an error moments later.
Kevin Duran then delivered a two‑out, two‑run homer to left, trimming the deficit to six.
Texas A&M responded by sending 16 batters to the plate in the bottom of the fourth, producing 12 runs on 10 hits, including two home runs, to push the margin to double digits.
Ayden Sunday came off the bench in the fifth and lined an RBI double down the right field line.

Beau Durbin drove in a run with a base hit through the left side.
