BEAUMONT, Texas – The nationally ranked Lamar University football team will be on the road Saturday at UT Rio Grande Valley, and for fans unable to make the trip to Edinburg, LU and Walk-ons Sports Bistreaux (2729 Jimmy Johnson Boulevard) are once again teaming up to host a watch party.
 
Fans who arrive wearing Lamar gear will also score a discount on food to go along with exciting giveaways at halftime. All Walk-On's TVs will be dedicated to the game.
 
The 15^th-ranked Cardinals are making their first trip to Edinburg to face UT Rio Grande Valley (4-4/2-3 SLC) where the Vaqueros are undefeated. The game is set for a 7 p.m. kick off Saturday from Vackar Stadium.
 
The Cardinals are winners in five of their last six games and remain in the hunt for their first Southland Conference title since 1971. The Vaqueros are a perfect 10-0 in Vackar Stadium since starting the program prior to the 2025 campaign.
