BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University and East Texas A&M have agreed to move their game to Tuesday, Jan. 27. The game which was originally slated for Monday evening will now tip off at 6 p.m. from the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena. It will be streamed live on ESPN+ and broadcast on Newstalk 560 KLVI.
The move was made in anticipation of the forecasted freezing temperatures over the weekend heading into Monday.
In addition to the LU men moving their game to Tuesday evening, the weekly Lamar Basketball Coaches Radio Show will not air this week and will resume with the regular schedule Tuesday, Feb. 3
rd.
The Cardinals (10-10/5-6 SLC) enter the game tied for fifth place in the Southland coming off a seven-point setback to Stephen F. Austin Saturday afternoon, while East Texas was forced to postpone its game Saturday at Northwestern State. The Lions come to Beaumont tied for 10
th in the standings with an 8-12 (.400) overall record and a 3-7 (.300) mark in league play.
