BEAUMONT, Texas — The Lamar University Cardinals remain unblemished during midweek games after notching a 3-1 victory over the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions on Wednesday night at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
LU is now 11-0 in midweek contests.
Matt Ryan led off the bottom of the second with a single to left and then
Easton Culp drew a walk.
Both runners advanced on a wild pitch.
Brayden Evans then hit a grounder to second to drive in a run.
The Golden Lions tied up the game in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Ben VanMaanen.
LU rallied for two runs in the bottom half of the sixth as Ryan hit a leadoff double down the left line.
Culp moved the runner over to third on a sacrifice bunt.
Hector Rodriguez then hit an RBI triple to left.
Damian Ruiz followed up with an infield RBI single to third.
