BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University returned to Southland Conference play facing Stephen F. Austin but the Cardinals dropped a 7-0 decision Saturday afternoon at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.
 
SFA jumped out to the early 1-0 lead after taking matches on courts 1 and 2 for the point. The Ladyjacks held the momentum heading into singles play winning the first set on all six courts. Junior Megan Do managed to stop the bleeding in her second set on court three posting a 6-4 decision in the second to even things up against SFA's Jemma Cave.
 
Unfortunately, SFA managed to battle back on that court as well as win the remaining courts for the shutout. The Cardinals now turn their attention to a Monday contest against Northwestern State. The match against the Demons will begin at 11 a.m. from the Thompson Family Tennis Center.
