BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University (20-7, 15-3 SLC) has an opportunity to clinch the second seed of the Southland Conference tournament Saturday as it will be hosting longtime rival McNeese (10-19, 5-13 SLC) at the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena. It will also be Senior Day for five Cardinals, who will be recognized for their time in Boom Town. The game is scheduled to tip off at 3 p.m and will be streamed live on ESPN+ and broadcast on Newstalk 560 KLVI.

Davis needs six rebounds to eclipse Cardinals Hall of Honor member Carolyn Ford for the most rebounds in program history. In 117 games, she has averaged 8.8 rebounds per game. Her career high for rebounds was 18, which she set twice (vs. Northwestern State - 1/27/25 and East Texas A&M -1/18/24).

The Cowgirls trail Texas A&M-Corpus Christi by a game for the eighth and final seed in the tournament but hold the tiebreaker in case both teams finish with similar records due to sweeping the Islanders in the regular season.
