BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University will look to even its record Sunday as it heads to Monroe, La., to take on UL Monroe at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The game will tip off at 2:00 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

STEAL TOWN
The Cardinals recorded their second-straight double-digit steal game with 19 in Wednesday's contest. This was the highest number of steals in a game since 20 against LSU-Alexandria (Nov. 16, 2023). Since the 22-23 season, LU is 24-4 when posting 10 or more steals in a game. The record for most in a game is 30 against Howard Payne (Nov. 21, 2017).
MAKING A STAMP IN LOUISIANA
Excluding the New Orleans Big Easy Classic last season and the Southland Conference tournament games, the Cardinals have won 11 of their last 12 road contests in the state of Louisiana. In that stretch, Big Red has averaged 66.4 points per game. Last season,
R'Mani Taylor averaged 13.2 ppg in four road contests in the Bayou State, which included a season-high 20 points against McNeese (Jan. 18, 2025).
ALL TIME VS. UL MONROE
ULM holds a 27-8 record all-time against the Cardinals, but Big Red has won the last five meetings by an average of 14.6 points. This includes a 71-60 victory in Beaumont last season, where
T'Aaliyah Miner posted 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting and grabbed five rebounds.
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
Under first-year head coach Scotty Fletcher, the Warhawks opened the season by winning their first four games. On Thursday, ULM suffered its first loss, 57-34, against Sam Houston in Huntsville. ULM is currently averaging 67.4 ppg and allowing 59 ppg, which is fifth-best in the Sun Belt Conference. Three of their players – J'Mani Ingram (9.8), Asjah Inniss (9.6), and Keshunti Nichols (9.6) – are averaging close to 10 ppg.
