BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University will look to expand on its most recent win by playing host to St. Mary's (TX) Wednesday at the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at the Montagne Center. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+.

LU snapped a three-game skid by overcoming a 12-point deficit against UT Arlington Sunday to win 66-55 at home.
Jacei Denley posted 15 points for the Cardinals while
Shaila Forman scored 13 points and
Kamryn Wilson added 12. Hitting 47.8 percent from the field in the second half, Big Red outscored the Mavericks 40-21.
JAYCEI THE SCORING MACHINE IS A GOOD THING?
Sunday was the seventh time in Denley's career that she was LU's leading scorer for the game. In those seven games, she has averaged 16.2 points, which includes a career-high of 20 against UT Rio Grande Valley (12/14/24). LU is also 6-1 when she leads the team in scoring with the only loss being against Washington State.
FORMAN AMONG THE NATION'S BEST FRESHMAN
Forman remains the leading scorer for LU through four games with 63 points (15.8 ppg). This puts her 12th in the nation amongst all freshmen. This is the second-highest total points for a first-year Cardinal in their first four games, only trailing Brittney Williams, who totaled 69 to start the 2006-07 season.
ALL TIME VS. ST. MARY'S (TX)
The Cardinals and St. Mary's met one time on Dec. 3rd, 1984 in San Antonio. The Rattlers came away with a 65-64 victory.
ABOUT THE RATTLERS
St. Mary's is an NCAA Division II program and is part of the Lone Star Conference. They are 2-0 following a 61-58 win over Black Hills State. The trio of Aina Maynou (15), Christin Calens (14), and Andrea Mostesinos (11) combined for 40 points while Raynne Malik was one point away from a double-double (13 rebounds). While no one is scoring double figures, Callens and Maynou are both up to 9.0 ppg.
