NATCHITOCHES, La. – Due to the threat of thunderstorms in the Natchitoches area Saturday, Lamar University and Northwestern State have agreed to move the start time for the contest to 2 p.m. from Turpin Stadium. The game will still be broadcast on Newstalk 560 and streamed live on ESPN+.
The game was originally scheduled to kick at 4 p.m. before the threat of inclement weather forced the change.
The No. 15 Cardinals (6-1/3-0 SLC) enter the week riding a six-game win streak and look to keep pace with the league leaders (Lamar is in a three-way tie with Southeastern Louisiana and Stephen F. Austin). Northwestern State is looking to right the ship after a tough start to the 2025 season. The Demons opened the year with an impressive win over Alcorn State but have since dropped six straight. Saturday would mark the second consecutive game against a nationally ranked foe for NSU.
