BEAUMONT, Texas – Lamar University senior receiver Kyndon Fuselier has been named a Phil Steele Mid-Season All-American announced publication officials Wednesday morning. The Nederland native received second-team honors as a punt returner.

Considered one of the top receivers in the Southland Conference entering 2025, Fuselier is becoming one of the best two-way threats in program history. Fuselier is a two-time SLC Special Teams Player of the Week selection who received FCS National Player of the Week honors after returning a punt 88 yards for a game-winning score against Nicholls.

Fuselier enters week eight currently ranked first in the Southland and second nationally in punt return average (24.5 yards per return). He is also just one of 24 FCS athletes who have returned a punt for a score this season.

The local product enters Saturday's Homecoming contest against UT Rio Grande Valley ranked sixth all-time at LU in punt returns, third all-time in punt return yards and tied for fifth in single-season return yards.

Big Red is back in action Saturday when they host UT Rio Grande Valley at 3 p.m. from Provost Umphrey Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on Newstalk 560 and streamed live on ESPN+.
