Hot Shooting, Dominant Rebounding Leads to LU Win

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Lamar University shot 60 percent from the field in the second half, and 56.9 (37-of-65) for the game defeating New Orleans, 94-72, Saturday afternoon at Lakefront Arena.

As strong as Lamar (14-11/8-4 SLC) looked offensively, it was their work on the glass that was the difference in the game. Lamar outrebounded UNO, 45-25, including 12 offensive rebounds. The Cardinals finished the day with a 16-2 advantage in second chance points.

Four Cardinals finished the game in double figures led by 17 points from junior Adam Hamilton. He was joined by classmate Terry Anderson and sophomore B.B.
