BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University looks to complete the sweep of its two home games this week at the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at the Montagne Center with a Saturday afternoon contest against UL Monroe. The contest against the Warhawks (3-3) tip off at 2 p.m. from the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at Montagne Center. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Cardinals posted 61 points in the first half, which was the second-highest total in program history. It also marked the second time the Cardinals scored 60 points in the first half since the 2015-16 season. That year, LU tallied 63 points against Louisiana College (11/19) en route to a 99-34 victory.

LU connected on a season-high 12 three-pointers, which tied for the second highest total made in the
Aqua Franklin era. The Cardinals have hit 12 three pointers in two other games: Howard Payne (11/12/21) and McNeese (12/31/22). The highest total over the last five years was 13 against Texas Tech (11/19/21) while the most ever in a game is 20, which was set at Denver (11/23/18).

The Cardinals are 7-27 all-time against the Warhawks, yet have won their last four meetings. Most recently, LU defeated ULM 72-50 on Nov. 21, 2012.

UL Monroe is 3-3 following two losses at the Bank of Hawaii Classic to Hawaii (69-64) and Saint Mary's (68-61).
