BEAUMONT, Texas - After four games away from Beaumont, Lamar University is set to return to the Neches Federal Credit Union Arena at the Montagne Center for two games. First up will be against St. Thomas (TX) Wednesday as the game will tip off at 7 p.m.

The Cardinals split their two games at the Big Easy Classic in New Orleans, La., by defeating Pacific (69-54) before falling to Cleveland State (79-52). Sophomore
Jacei Denley posted a career-high 19 points in the win over Pacific while senior
Akasha Davis tallied a double-double (12 points and a season-high 16 rebounds). Davis followed that with a 15-point performance in LU's game with CSU. For her part, Davis was named to the Bayou All-Tournament team averaging 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

Top 10 Scorers
Having scored 27 points in the last two games, Davis has climbed into the top 10 in the program's all-time scoring list. With 1,383 career points, Davis now ranks eighth in scoring. Fellow teammate
Sabria Dean is sixth in scoring with 1,431 points.

This will mark the first meeting all-time between the two schools.

About the Celts
Out of NCAA Division III's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, the Celts recently played McNeese on Nov. 27th losing 81-43 falling to 2-3 on the season. Macie Whitfield (13 points) and Ravyn Ellis (11 points) were the only double-figure scorers for UST. The Celts were held to 24.7 percent from the field. UST averages 62.0 points per game while giving up 75.8.
