The Cardinals needed an 89th minute goal to pull out the victory. It came courtesy of a cross from Arely Alaniz and took a fortunate bounce off of a Bearkats' defender before finding the open net. The Cardinals ended a 179-minute scoreless drought. Nicole Panis managed to get three saves in the win.

LU finished their win with 15 shots with four coming from Cariel Ellis and Hollie Massey. Alaniz had three shots in the victory while Rafiatu Alhassan, Maddie Janolo, Laura Linares, and Isela Ramirez each tallied one of their own.
