BEAUMONT, Texas - Seeking to bounce back following a tough loss to New Orleans, the Cardinals will travel to Hammond, La., to meet with Southeastern Louisiana. The Saturday contest will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Rough Night In The Big Easy
The Cardinals fell 60-46 to the Privateers of New Orleans to end their three-game winning streak. LU struggled from the field making 30.8% while they fell behind by as much as twenty points.


On the Plus Side
Akasha Davis and Sabria Dean each recorded 14 points in the game. Davis converted six-of-seven from the field and this included a nine-point fourth quarter.


History Against the Lions
Entering their 44th meeting all-time, the Cardinals hold a 23-21 edge. The last meeting between these two teams on Dec. 18, 2019 with the Cardinals coming up 65-57 winners.  LU is in the midst of a four-game winning streak and have won six of their last seven versus the Lions.


Scouting the Lions
Fresh off a 63-58 win over Houston Christian, the Lions average 64.6 ppg, which is third in the conference ahead of LU. Defensively, they give up 56.6 ppg, which is also third and ahead of LU in the conference. Alexius Horne leads the Lions in scoring with 12.5 ppg, which is fifth in the Southland Conference. She scored 15 points in the win against HCU.
